the artist + writer + freelancer behind it all.
the freelance writer + editor: before becoming a freelance copywriter and editor, i had many professional lives:

almost two decades in nonprofit, education organizing, early childhood,
and most recently, a few years as a therapist in training.
i've since left the nonprofit and mental health fields and returned to my first loves: writing and art.
with almost two decades of experience in writing, research, and helping organizations build and sustain relationships through persuasive writing, ranging from advocacy, policy to fundraising for capacity building—my goal is to get you results.
as a copywriter, my approach is one that is always collaborative and centers what makes your brand, product, company, service ultimately and uniquely you: and together, we can reach your audience and build trust so that your audience becomes part of your community.
take that first step, and let's find your audience and share your story.
the writer: i started writing in my teens, writing screenplays and plays. in my on and off again relationship with writing, i started in 2021 again after the passing of my best friend. losing someone i deeply love inspired this space to challenge the societal understanding of grief, the concept that time goes on.

the space in time and presence where the circumstances that have brought on loss to so many has not changed, has also been intensified.
iwritelyrically is where my essays live: themes on grief, connection, and analysis on societal systems impact the way we live our lives. its purpose is unraveling and breaking down what we've been taught, and being still in space of curiosity and exploration: who gets to grieve? who gets to be mourned? for how long? life goes on for whom?
the artist: with a fiery spirit and belly, fierybraxn was born.

making and appreciating art taught me that everything is political. what began as a journey of exploration and understanding a fractured self, became an unraveling of my body, its history, and the realm of personhood being questioned, examined and ultimately, an endless study of reclamation.
from photography to abstract art to more explicit depictions of the body, i connected this process to my writing: this state of curiosity, exploration and analysis extending beyond me– extending this to my community and ultimately, society at large.
